BREWING THE PERFECT LOOK FOR AN ARTISAN COFFEE BRAND
Made in Washington, a regional chain of specialty stores, sought to improve the shelf presence of their line of specialty coffees. The gourmet coffee line needed a stronger brand and package that conveyed the region’s coffee heritage while at the same time appealing to consumers as a gourmet gift. The primary challenge was creating an artistic and effective solution — one that maintained the brand’s existing hand-written signature, while reinforcing the coffee’s quality and its local connection. For the six varieties, Rainy Day Roast, Waterfront Frappe Mix, Reindeer Roast, Northwest Moonlight, Market Espresso and Evergreen Roast, the package design program fused a stylish combination of whimsical illustrations, crafted typography on a sophisticated silver bag to achieve the design goals. |
