SEATTLE—January 18, 2007—David Kendall, principal and creative director of Seattle-based Kendall Ross, a strategic brand development and design firm based in Seattle, will deliver a compelling lecture entitled “Consumer Connectivity: Designing Around Lifestyles” with his co-presenter Ken Ng, executive vice president of NorQuest Seafoods at the annual Package Design ’07 Conference in Orlando, FL. This year’s conference takes place January 30 to February 1st, 2007.
“Collaboration allows for opportunities. An effective collaborative process helps, clarify, assess and communicate the roles and responsibilities, methods, tools and, in turn increases the value and impact of design,” says David Kendall, principal and creative director at Kendall Ross. “Strong partnerships between clients and design firms are based upon mutual understanding & integration — thoughtful partnerships create value, both in terms of time & money, and in addition to workflow efficiencies.”
Throughout the lecture, Kendall and Ng will examine how designer and brand owner work together to nurture a repeatable experience that results in success. Using their recent collaboration for the new Portlock fresh-frozen fish brand, the duo will explore how the successful lifestyle brand was brought to market.
“Products are for people. As people change, the way products are presented or packaged must also change. It is a never-ending challenge not only to stay up with the consumer, but to be relevant to their specific lifestyle,” adds Kendall. “Key to this is the integration of the consumer experience with the package experience and, ultimately, the entire brand experience.”
David Kendall and Ken Ng’s lecture will take place on Wednesday, January 31st, at 10:00 a.m.
